The postage stamp of Ukraine in 2023 is dedicated to the victory of the band "Kalush Orchestra" at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 (Eurovision Song Contest 2022)
The "Kalush Orchestra" brand was announced by the head of UkrPoshta back in May 2022. It will be released on April 10, on the eve of the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest.
History:
On May 15, the Ukrainian band Kalush Orchestra won the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin, Italy, with the track Stefania. Participation in the contest during the war became especially important for Ukraine. "They want to destroy our culture, but we are here to show that it is alive," emphasized Oleg Psyuk, the band's frontman. In the Eurovision final, during the performance, the leader of the Kalush Orchestra addressed the world community and called for the unblocking of Mariupol. The request of Ukrainians to save Mariupol and "Azovstal" from the stage on live air caused a real sensation! Because Eurovision organizers could disqualify contestants and impose fines for political statements. But the musicians did what the whole of Ukraine expected of them, what was important to them. Pozayak and the founders of the show accepted the Kalush Orchestra's statement as a humanitarian one - and our country won by a majority of votes. Oleg Psyuk performed on the stage of the Eurovision Song Contest in Bukovyna keptar of the beginning of the 20th century. and his signature pink panama, which after the competition was sold for UAH 11 million at a charity auction for the Armed Forces.

Cities of Heroes: Bucha, Irpin, Gostomel. We will not forget! We will not forgive! Postal Stamps
On March 31, Ukrposhta put into circulation a new postal block "We will not forget! We will not forgive! Bucha. Irpin. Gostomel", dedicated to the hero cities of Kyiv region and their unconquered residents, who were among the first to meet the Russian onslaught with a full-scale invasion. In March 2022, by the decision of the President of Ukraine, these cities were awarded the honorary title "Hero City".
The edition of the block is limited to 100,000 copies. The price is UAH 54.00. An envelope "First Day" with an illustration of a diagram showing the direction of the Russian troops' offensive on Kyiv from the direction of Bucha, Irpen, and Gostomel was delivered to the post office. The artistic envelope for the release features a photo collage of images from the front pages of the world newspapers "I", "Metro", "Daily Express", "Daily Mirror", "The Guardian", "Daily Mail", "The Times", "Financial Times" , which covered these events.
The post block uses the materials of RFE/RL photo correspondent Serhiy Nuzhnenko and photographer Mykhailo Jos. The author of the image of the postage stamp dedicated to Gostomel is the artist Oleksandr Nikityuk. The cards were issued with the participation of the "Ukrainian Institute" State University and the creative agency Kiifornia.
At the same time as the new postal block was put into circulation, Ukrposhta introduced permanent postmarks with the transfer date "City of Heroes. Bucha", "City of Heroes. Irpin", "City of Heroes. Gostomel", which are attached to the relevant postal offices of these cities and will available to customers on any day.
